CANVAS ROOF

A wide range of optional features includes rope ladders, swings, slides, climbing walls, beams for multiple swings, bridges, gangplanks, firemen’s poles, flagpoles and flags, timber or reinforced canvas balustrades, convex porthole windows, integral or loose furniture… the list goes on.

The treehouse above was built around an apple tree, it features seasonal sides and a roof, all of which are removable to reduce the visual impact on the winter garden. The PVC-coated canvas panels, available in a wide range of colours, are custom-made to fit each individual structure and are weather proof.

Your project step by step: a totally personal service

The first stage is a meeting (usually lasting an hour or two) to view the proposed site and discuss your requirements. (NB if the proposed site involves a tree, a qualified tree surgeon will also attend to undertake a full ‘health check’. The fee for this is £45 + VAT, refundable against the total project cost.)

Assuming both site and tree receive the all-clear and you wish to receive detailed proposals and costs; I will arrange to carry out a full site survey including detailed measurements and photographs.

All this information will be used to develop detailed plans and drawings, taking full account of safety factors and budgetary limitations as well as aesthetic considerations.

You will then receive a full specification with detailed project costs and timescales. The fee for this (including any minor amendments) is £180 + VAT, again refundable against the total project cost on completion.

If you accept the quote and wish to proceed, I will ask for a deposit for materials (usually 50% of the total project cost). I will also agree an installation date and arrange a further site visit to check out all aspects of the design, the site and its accessibility.

Then it’s simply a question of building your treehouse! (Typical onsite construction lasts between one and two weeks. When on site, we always take great care to protect the rest of your garden.)

Protecting your asset over the longer term

If you wish, you can arrange twice-yearly maintenance checks to keep your treehouse in tip-top order.

These take place in spring and autumn (i.e. at the beginning and end of the outdoor play season).

These checks are free for the first year (you only pay for any replacement materials plus labour, if required).

In subsequent years, you will be charged a small annual maintenance fee.
